I bought a pair of Aussie lockers for my '99 Cherokee about a 6 years ago. They have performed perfectly and as advertised, and I couldn't be happier with them. Even bought a set and installed them in my sister's Cherokee. Problem is...the Aussie stickers are almost faded away from the Arizona sun, the stickers wore out but the locker is going strong!

I just want to say that I have purchased thousands of dollars in jeep parts and this has been by far the best experience I have had.

Amazing customer service. Everyone I have talked to from Torq Masters have been great. I just finished the front axle lastnight and it went together perfect. I will get the rear axle done next week.

Thank you again.

Jacob F.  This is the third axle that this Aussie locker has been in. It shows no signs of wear after 5 and half years and preforms just as good as the day I bought and installed it. It’s handled stock tires and now it’s working for 35s. I can’t recommend #Aussielockers enough. Thanks Cora Jokinen for making the best lockers in the industry #Torqmastersindustries

Just wanted to give some real world feedback for the Torq Locker I’ve had now for several months. I wanted to get some decent rides in on different terrain before posting.  This upgrade dramatically improved the off-roading ability of the X3 in everything from mud, trail and Oregon sand dunes. I was initially concerned about changes to the steering while in 4×4 but it actually helps pull around corners with the inside wheel spinning the same speed as the outside. In two wheel drive there is no noticeable difference than stock and I’ve yet to hear any ratcheting as of yet. I’m sure Halo is also a great product but I’m very happy with my Torq Locker upgrade.  On my initial install I decided to upgrade my axles at the same time and I went with the longer bolts, Nord-Lock washers and Loc Tite Cora offers.

Not having a ton of beef up on the front D30 ,nor a massive budget at the time ,I went looking for affordable autolockers. Of all options for “ lunchbox” lockers , I knew the Aussie was highly regarded so I went to Torq-Masters webpage & read everything. It was then that I found reference to something new called a ‘Torq Locker’ for D30s (including one for Jeep JKs with a HP D30 ). I emailed Torq-Masters to ask the difference between Aussie and TORQ and decided on TORQ.

Since then I have had the TorqLocker TL13227 in my JKU. It’s been almost 10000 miles. 3500 – 4500 of those miles are offroad. For a device that makes such a drastic difference in offroad capability, it’s almost laughable at how inconspicuous and unnoticeable the thing is when driving down the freeway at 85mph. I have not once had it clunk or bind in a parking lot or on roads. My jeep only sees highway to get to trails but I cannot notice any change in its road driving behavior. None.

I was able to install the TL-13227 in my JKU in my garage at home . Great assistance came from videos from YouTube. I also had my forum (jkowners.com) friends and Cora available to help, but never really needed to ask much. Never having done an install of a locker I was surprised at the ease of the install process. It took me about 3-4 hrs going slowly & with the proper tools. They have excellent instructions included with the TL-13227.

The TorqLocker totally changed the performance level of my jeep jk offroad . I can climb right up walls that I’d previously had to be creative with throttle and bumping to surmount. We all know that kind of action leads to breakage. So, that together with the amazing support provided by Torq-Masters during my install and ordering makes it really hard to not choose the TorqLocker if you want a locking solution for a jeep jk that has a front D30 axle.

It is the single most effective upgrade that I’ve made. Plus, it costs less than $400.00. That is unheard of in today’s aftermarket. It constantly reminds me that it’s worth (at least )3 – 4 times that to me when I need it. I have other JK guys without front lockers ask me tons of questions once they see it perform. It is really a game changer.

Been running the TORQ Spool for a few months now and it’s held up with zero issues. We do mostly bounty climbs and can never seem to get the factory and most aftermarket setups to hold to what we put them through. Well the TORQ Spool has been in several comps lately with a couple podium finishes and it is still like the day it was installed. Highly recommended if you want to be competitive or just tired of replacing front differential internals. #rscapproved

TheTORQ  Locker was exactly what I wanted and needed. It feels amazing going over rock and up muddy hills where I can really feel the front of the machine pulling as hard as the rear is pushing. Almost felt like if I could get the rubber on it I could climb it.  I ran the machine in 4wd almost exclusively all weekend and hit speeds at 40-50 mph, found the steering to be equal to stock or atleast stock for me which was with 30 inch Rocktanes.

I am absolutely pleased with my Locker decision and as you and I spoke about the “on/off” switch was just as simple as the 2wd/4wd switch. Does not get much easier!

I first choose an Aussie locker for my rear d44 on my Jeep when we were going to rausch Creek and I was told a locker would be a good idea before the trip. I love the fact that Aussie was American made and why I choose that for my first locker. I could not believe the difference it made! No more sliding off the rock when I lost traction!! I had that in the rear for about a year when I knew I needed one up front also!! I was locked front and rear and never treated it gently! It held up to all the abuse I could throw at it. When I planned my one ton swap I knew my locker of choice was the torq-locker!! I have not been gentle on it at all and I always have traction!! American made products with American made steel!!! As a tool maker I can tell you American made steel is key to a good product!! Plus you can’t ask for a better company to deal with!!! Amazing products that I am proud to stand behind!! Cora Jokinen and Erik Jokinen keep up the great work you do for the offroading industry!!

Aussie Lockers have taken me everywhere, from the hardest trails all the way to the podium! My Aussie Lockers have been with me for 7 years and I have been continually impressed with the product quality, ease of installation, durability and predictability. My rig has crawled, raced, jumped, flopped, rolled and broken countless parts but never an Aussie Locker!

To say I wasn’t at least a little skeptical when I purchased my Aussie Locker would be a huge lie! There is no way that something priced hundreds of dollars less than your typical auto lockers, air lockers, etc. can perform without flaws, Wrong! Not to mention how easy it was to install, and the best part of it all, it made right here in the U.S.A. I just got home from the Rubicon Trail, a place where performance and reliability are second to none, and I am more than impressed with my Aussie Locker. No buttons to push, no air compressors to wait on, just performance and reliability without a thought. Thank you Aussie Locker, you have gained a lifelong customer!

Today’s review after about 35 miles of New York mud, trails and sand pits with the TORQ Locker in my 2016 Mav 1000 turbo. First thing I did notice was the handling at speed whether in 2 or 4wd was a little different. Slightly more responsive actually. I put the DPS to minimum and I adapted. Ran in 4wd 90% of the day and reached a top speed of 77mph at one point. No issues all day. ). I by no means was easy on this machine today and had 0 failure or complaint. The locker did what it was supposed to, was silent as a mouse and improved the Maverick’s capability all around.

To say the Dana 30 Aussie Locker does its job is an understatement. We at Hack Shack Racing in the 4632 TJ decided to run our dana 30 with its Aussie Locker in our first race ever. While it had been doing its job happily for about 4 years of recreational wheeling, racing is a whole other animal on an Ultra 4 style vehicle. The task we began to ask of that front end was something it hadn’t seen before or been built for.

Through some vehicle damage and a 1 hour grand prix style race, the locker never skipped a beat. It worked just like we always knew it had and was there when we needed it. At the Dirt Riot racing series there are some serious trails that warrant the simplicity and durability of the auto locking Aussie Locker. I do not trust myself nor a selectable locker with so many failure prone components (including myself clicking the on button). The Aussie is always there every time and asks nothing of you.

It worked flawlessly and helped propel us to a win at our first ever race, in a jeep that had never raced before, with drivers that had never raced before. We like Aussie Lockers so much here at Hack Shack that we will be putting another 4 of them in our new axles going under our 4632 TJ and our pit support WJ. We would recommend them to anyone we know who wheels since they are so simple, take more abuse than most people will dish out, are easy to install, and are one of the cheapest lockers available.

I bought 2 Aussie lockers for my jeep in 2012 and I wanted to report to you how happy I am with them. I think that my Aussie lockers perform better then any of the selectable lockers that are common in my local club. I think the automatic ratcheting of the outside tire in a turn makes for superior traction compared to a locker that allows no differentiation when engaged. Also, last year I even broke an axle shaft while doing something fairly unadvisable and that Aussie locker was unharmed! I figure a good testimony of locker strength is whether or not it can withstand shafts breaking around them without taking any damage themselves. Good job in building such a good traction device for such a great price!

I have had the Aussie Locker in my JKU for over 20000 miles. I was able to install the Aussie in my JKU in my garage at home with minimal tools and the knowledge I gained from YouTube. Never having done an install of a locker I was surprised at the ease of the install process. The Aussie locker works very well in my JKU, even with the 37″ tires and the Dana 30 axle. The locker is not noticeable during normal street driving except during low speed turns when you will hear it click. Off road the Aussie locker is awesome, for the price it is by far the best performance adder you can get for a JK. It performs just as well as a selectable locker for less than half the price. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try harder trails.

I run the Dana 30 with 4.88 gears an Aussie locker which is always on, c-gussetts, Artec truss, Crown Automotive axles (stock replacements), synergy ball joints. I have wheeled Moab, the Rubicon Trail, all over Arizona and my axle has not exploded. I have 3.5″ MC springs with a JKS ACOS to level the front. Cooper Discoverer STT tires. After market driveshafts front and rear. 42000 mile, I put 35s on before I broke 100 miles on the odometer. 37s have been on for over 5000 miles.

The install was done on the garage floor with regular hand tools and no specialty tools required. The benefits were immediately apparent the first time off road. The front locker in the my JKU makes it a whole different vehicles, as the longer wheelbase often made it possible to get my front end up on obstacles. The Aussie locker now made it possible to get over those obstacles. After four years it still performs and has had zero issues.

Father Son Install It was fun, we got some help from a buddy who has done a number of them. Really only used the instructions once to be sure we had the parts aligned right. My son is itching so much to really try it out. We hope to get on the trail Feb 7th with a local group. Can’t wait. The total install including a front brake job only took about 3 hours. It is a 97 4 cyl TJ… We have a RC 2.5 in coil lift, Tera Flex Shocks, now an Aussie up front, RE front disconnects…. For a 17 yr olds vehicle it wheels pretty well and has been a great father son project. – he has learned a lot.
